Share Barepot memories

It was held following the finding of a plaque, commemorating three Barepot boys who died on January 3, 1928, when ice on a pond gave way under them. Many people attended the event and shared their memories. Mrs Poole said:

Boys approached by man with knife in Cumbrian park

Three young boys were approached by a man with a small kitchen knife in a Maryport park. They were playing in the wooded area of Crow Park yesterday at about 4.15pm when the man approached them. He shouted at the boys, who ran off towards Barepot<
