OAP winched to safety after falling down pit in Eshiels, Peebleshire

The man fell into the newly-dug pit in Eshiels, Peebleshire just before 4pm on Monday. Fire crews winched the man to safety while making sure the earth would not collapse onto him. He was taken to Borders General Hospital to be treated. Group
